Podo Vacuum Filter (Carbon)

Filter adapted ONLY for the Afinia NDC PODO dust collector. The filtration material used is a unique composite, composed of high-efficiency activated carbon with a porous structure, protected on both sides by a polyester microfiber-based material. Activated carbon is a safe product with a porous structure and an extremely large surface area, which can reach 1500 m² per gram. The carbon activation process is carried out by exposing it to high temperatures with limited air access. Due to its porous surface, activated carbon has excellent adsorption properties, allowing it to capture and neutralize various harmful substances and odors. In the AFINIA filter, a material with a total surface area of 2385 cm² was used, containing 16g of activated carbon, providing a total carbon area of 24,000 m²! The composite filtration material captures, in the filtration process, most contaminant particles ranging from 1 to 10 micrometers in size, while simultaneously eliminating unpleasant and harmful substances. The gravimetric efficiency for AC FINE dust is 96.35%. This material also stands out for its high pollutant retention capacity and low resistance to airflow, which contributes to a long filter life. The activated carbon used is derived from coconut shells, considered the best carbon variant for filtration processes.
